Biography of Will Heard
Vice Chairman

Will J. Heard was born and raised in Newark and possesses all the God given qualities of a selfless servant. This is a man who extends himself to others without expecting anything in return. He has served the Parade Committee well for the past nine years. Will can always be found trouble shooting, helping to set-up the Parade festivals, the Parade line-up or providing technical and sound support on floats at Parade Committee Events or the Heritage Festival.

Will attended Weequahic High School and graduated from West Side. He also graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Mass Communications and pursued graduate studies in Marketing. He utilizes his skills, talents and learned expertise to advise, support and participate in the growth of this community.

Will is the found and owner of Investors Mutual. As a licensed mortgage banker he goes out of his way to help others repair credit and own a home.

Will ends a hand wherever he is led. He has been entrusted with leadership and service for the Parade Committee and all members applaud his volunteerism. He also works with a non-profit he co-founded called People Helping People and travels with The Several Sources Foundation throughout Newark's public schools implementing anti violence/gang, drug prevention and sex education programs.
